The Bruma Sweater, which is the Latin name for winter solstice, is a thick and squishy sweater that will keep any child warm in the dead of winter.

This is a raglan style sweater and is knit from the top down. Made out of single-ply worsted yarn, it’s a fast and easy knit that has little bobbles running down the raglan increases. It’s a perfect project for beginners who want something easy to knit with a little something new.

This pattern is Advanced Beginner in difficulty. Stitches include: bobbles, ktbl, k2tog, k5tog, p5tog, m1L, and m1R. All techniques are explained in the pattern, except for picking up stitches.

Needles:
US 8/5mm circular needles; 16”/40 cm for the smaller sizes, 24”/60 cm for the larger sizes
DPNs (a 9”/23 cm circular needle may also work)

5 stitch markers, tapestry needle, and waste yarn
