The Eden Baby Blanket Pattern is a great pattern for those who want to do more than a simple granny square blanket. There is only one square design, and the pattern includes a tutorial on how to complete the joining method used (the Continuous Flat Braid Join). It really makes a stunning baby blanket; I designed it with two contrasting colors, but it could look lovely in all one color, or using multiple colors for the squares.
The finished product as described in the pattern is approximately 42” x 36”. It can be easily modified by adding or decreasing the number of granny squares used.
Skill Level: Intermediate; the joining method for this blanket is a little more complicated, though it is described in detail.
Yarn: 1200 yds/1097 m of worsted weight yarn in MC, and 400 yds/365 m in CC. Shown in Caron Simply Soft in soft green and white.
Gauge: the gauge is 5” x 5” for a finished granny square
